Built Different and She’s Different: Two Powerful Weekends of Purpose

Recently, Mercy Street had the privilege of hosting our Built Different Conference on January 31st and our She’s Different Conference on February 7th. Each gathering was uniquely designed to strengthen the faith, character, and confidence of our middle and high school students.

Though held on different weekends, both conferences carried the same heartbeat: reminding students who they are and whose they are in Christ.

Built Different.

Built Different was a powerful Saturday dedicated to our young men. Students from across our community gathered for worship, teaching, brotherhood, and honest conversations centered on biblical manhood and leadership.

Throughout the day, speakers challenged the young men to live with discipline, integrity, and courage. Seeds were planted that will continue to grow long after the event ended. The atmosphere was filled with authenticity and hunger for truth.

To every speaker who poured wisdom into our young men, every volunteer who showed up early and stayed late, every supporter who believed in the vision, and every participant who leaned in with openness, thank you. You helped create a space where character was strengthened, faith was affirmed, and purpose was awakened.

Our prayer is that each young man walks forward confident, anchored in Christ, and ready to lead in his home, school, and community. This is what it means to be Built Different.

She’s Different | February 7

The following Saturday on February 7th, She’s Different was a beautiful and bold declaration over our young ladies: you are seen, valued, capable, and deeply loved by God.

Throughout the day, students were encouraged to embrace their identity, strengthen their faith, and step confidently into who they are called to become. Worship, teaching, and sisterhood created an environment filled with joy, affirmation, and spiritual depth.

We are especially grateful for our guest speakers, April Bowman and ShySpeaks, who spoke life into each young woman and helped cultivate a space of confidence and truth.

To the volunteers who served with excellence, the supporters who invested generously, and the young ladies who showed up ready to grow, thank you. The impact of this day will echo into classrooms, homes, friendships, and futures.

At Mercy Street, we believe lasting transformation happens when students are surrounded by consistent mentorship and Gospel-centered truth. These two weekends were powerful reminders that the next generation in West Dallas is rising with confidence, clarity, and Christ at the center.

We are grateful to stand beside them.
