What's New at Mercy Street

Epic Adventures Accomplished!

This summer, our Mercy Street campers had an unforgettable time filled with laughter, discovery, and friendship during our first Epic Adventures Summer Camp for grades K-5. They raced down slip-and-slides, competed in team sports, and participated in hands-on workshops in art and STEM, all designed to spark joy, build confidence, and point young hearts toward Christ. Our aquatics team led swim lessons where campers excelled, with several earning their green bands. These lessons continued throughout the season and were open to both camp counselors and the entire Mercy Street community.

Last month, campers had the chance to explore Texas history and geology on a trip to Austin. At the State Capitol, they toured the Rotunda, the Hall of Governors, and the Capitol Grounds, learning about the building’s architecture and the legislative process. Then, at Inner Space Caverns, they marveled at the unique geological formations and uncovered the cave’s fascinating past.

As school begins again, we’re excited to send these young leaders back to class, carrying memories of teamwork, new skills, and a deeper sense of purpose. They grew in faith, practiced leadership, and discovered talents they’ll continue to develop in the coming year. We can’t wait to see how they shine in their next grade and beyond.
