Opening Day + Easter Eggstravaganza Recap: A Day of Joy, Community, and Celebration:

This past weekend, Mercy Street had the privilege of welcoming thousands of families, volunteers, partners, and community members to our annual Opening Day and Easter Eggstravaganza. From the excitement of the Opening Ceremony and first pitch to the laughter echoing across the fields and activity areas, the day was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with purpose. Families gathered, children played, volunteers served, and the love of Christ was evident in every interaction.

Throughout the day, our Baseball and Soccer programs were on full display, creating opportunities for young athletes to compete, grow, and build confidence. At the same time, the Easter Eggstravaganza brought smiles and celebration to families across West Dallas, reinforcing our commitment to creating spaces where joy and hope are experienced together.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our event partner, Buckner International, and the many volunteers, community partners, and vendors. Your time, generosity, and dedication made a lasting impact on every child and family who attended.

We also want to extend our gratitude to everyone behind the scenes who worked tirelessly to bring this day to life. Events like this take vision, planning, and teamwork, and we are grateful for a staff that serves with excellence and heart.
