April 8th, 2026 Mercy Street Honored as Outstanding Community Partner by SMU Engage DallasTuesday night marked a meaningful milestone for Mercy Street as we were recognized by SMU Engage Dallas as the Outstanding Community Partner. This honor reflects the strength of collaboration, shared purpose, and the collective commitment to serve our West and South Dallas communities with excellence. At the heart of this recognition is a story of leadership, stewardship, and impact. We are especially proud to celebrate Estefania Ortiz, who was individually honored for her outstanding leadership in community engagement and volunteer coordination. Estefania plays a vital role in connecting people to purpose, ensuring that every volunteer experience is intentional, organized, and aligned with our mission. Through her leadership, hundreds of volunteers are mobilized each year to serve across our Sports, Mentoring and Leadership programs. She brings clarity to complex logistics, care to every interaction, and a deep sense of responsibility to steward both people and opportunities well. Her work strengthens the bridge between Mercy Street and the broader community, allowing more individuals, families, and partners to engage in meaningful service. This recognition is not just a celebration of one moment, it is a reflection of the ongoing work happening every day.
